Haunted?
Did a quick walk though on 5-29-10 to
see if our new equipment would pick anything new up, and no, none did, except
for one interesting item: Justin was walking southbound on the eastern most
street with a KII meter when for no reason the meter started going wild. We
tried to duplicate this and could not make it happen a second time.
Justin's camera battery was dead (for no reason), and the brand new batteries in
Steve's camera died as well. Still, We did get some video and did some EVP work,
however the initial review shoes nothing unusual.
Oak
Park cemetery is an unusual place, unlike any we've ever investigated.
None the less, I want to caution all our readers and fans to respect
this place and it's "residents."
I'm not a huge fan of cemetery investigations, because the "wow factor"
can bring many "gawkers" and plain curious people into a place that
should be respected for the the sake of families whose loved ones rest
there, as well as the dead themselves. Vandals sometimes seem to be
attracted to places such as this, resulting in broken headstones,
graffiti and trash.
Don't be a jerk!!!!
Oak Park Cemetery is an unusual place not just because there are reports
of shadow people, but also because it is generally a very active
location. We've caught ghosts on EVP's, pictures of full apparitions,
and what looks like a a bunch of ghosts in line.
Another thing that is unusual about this location is the optical
distortions that seems to be caused by ghosts, both witnessed (once by
me and another person personally) and in photos. Let me explain.
All of the cameras we use are digitally stabilized. I've tried and tried
to force these cameras to take screwy blurry pictures in average and
above average use and motion, and they just wont produce bad pictures
unless you're actually swinging them around very fast while snapping
photos. As you'll see, these cameras produced odd pictures in this
location that almost seem like they're morphed in photoshop. They are
not.
